NYC Media Lab | Communications Manager | July 2016-Present
Leads overall internal and external communications strategy for the organization, including newsletters, media relations, social media, editorial content, and workflow management. Designs and implements custom communications strategies for prototyping projects conducted with the Lab’s corporate Member Companies. Leads production of three major conferences each year, including NYC Media Lab’s annual Summit, which brings together Member Companies, faculty and students from a consortium of NYC-based universities, and community stakeholders from the Lab’s network, for a full day of discussions, demos, workshops and networking. Is responsible for communicating the goals of NYC Media Lab to potential new business leads.

MIT School of Architecture + Planning | Communications Assistant | January 2014 -October 2015
Managed all social media accounts and executed monthly and weekly e-mail campaigns. Archived press clips and resources for MIT’s database. Helped distribute and promote quarterly news digest to alumni. Attended conferences in and around the MIT community to study best practices for communications professionals. Formed and pitched ideas and concepts for MIT News.

Rhizome at the New Museum | Editorial Fellow | January-May 2015
Co-wrote and planned new editorial content for, including making content suggestions and communicating with lead editors, journalists, technologists, and art critics. Conducted research in Rhizome’s 18-year database of internet art. Wrote marketing copy for Rhizome supported events, specifically “Seven on Seven”, a yearly conference focused on artistic innovation and activism.

Pioneer Works Center for Art + Innovation | Education Assistant | September 2014-January 2015
Assisted Director of Education with programing, including classes, panel discussions, and related events. Provided in-office support through managing student registrations, scheduling, and promoting programming to community members. Provided consulting support on social media management and digital brand identity.

Together Festival for Music, Art + Technology | Arts Coordinator | March 2011-January 2014
Worked with creative venues and arts professionals to design a program of community events, workshops, new media installations, and educational opportunities. Oversaw the logistics of dozens of projects each year (scheduling, staffing, and communications). Built relationships with Boston-area institutional curators (Institute of Contemporary Art, Museum of Fine Arts, MIT Media Lab, RISD) regarding both long-term and short-term strategic partnerships.

Anthony Greaney | Curatorial Resident | July 2011-July 2013
Assisted gallery director in all curatorial efforts, including researching institutional and grant opportunities for represented artists, drafting press releases, and networking with editors and critics. Oversaw digital strategy and marketing efforts, such as creating blog posts, maintaining gallery website, scheduling social media content and e-mail newsletters, and managing press inquiries and clips.

Selected Artist | Left Gallery, Berlin | July 2016
Was invited to produce a downloadable .zip folder containing .gif’s and archival materials for the launch of Left Gallery, an experimental curatorial outlet based in Berlin, Germany. Curated by Nora Khan, the exhibition resulted in three original artworks made for the internet, in addition to a text of critical inquiry written by Khan.

Panelist | Facets Conference | May 2016
Moderated a discussion and presented relevant research during Facets Conference, hosted by NYU Tandon School of Engineering. The conversation was centered on curating and internet performance art. Panelists included Molly Soda, E. Jane, Kelani Nichole, and Sam Levigne.

Work was selected to be included in MACRO, an ambitious anthology of image macros (images paired with words, intended for digital circulation) from over 120 artists.

Curated the exhibition “Second Selves,” loosely formed to provide a critical take on theorist Sherry Turkle’s book The Second Self, published via MIT Press. Artists in the exhibition included Leah Schrager, Blake Hiltunen, Philip Fryer, and Julie Nymann.

Invited Curator & Producer | Boston Museum of Science, Charles Hayden Planetarium | January 2013-May 2014
Led a team of artists and technical staff to produce two large scale film screenings made specifically for the Charles Hayden Planetarium. Worked with the Museum’s Systems Coordinator and Public Programs Director for 18-months, through filming, post-production, promotion, and ticketing.

Social Media Manager | Flash Forward Festival | September 2013-May 2014
Worked with festival organizers on branding and communications efforts. Ran social media and live communications during the festival itself.

Guest Web Curator | Near Death Performance Art Experience, Boston Center for the Arts | April 2013
Curated an internet art series in conjunction with the day long performance art exhibition. Conducted interviews with guest artists and assisted in documentation efforts.
