Communications Manager | NYC Media Lab | July 2016-Present
Leads overall internal and external communications strategy for the organization, including newsletters, media relations, social media, editorial content, and workflow management. Designs and implements custom communications strategies for prototyping projects conducted with the Lab’s corporate Member Companies. Leads production of three major conferences each year, including NYC Media Lab’s annual Summit, which brings together Member Companies, university faculty and students, and community stakeholders from the Lab’s network for a full day of discussions, demos, workshops and networking. Is responsible for networking with and communicating the goals of NYC Media Lab to potential new business leads.

Founded in 2010, NYC Media Lab is dedicated to driving innovation and ultimately job growth in media and technology by facilitating collaboration between the City’s universities and its companies. Comprised of a consortium including New York City Economic Development Corporation, School of Visual Arts, New York University, Columbia University, The New School, CUNY, IESE, and Pratt Institute, NYC Media Lab’s goals are to include generate research and development, knowledge transfer, and talent across all of the city’s campuses.
The Lab is built on corporate membership. Current member companies include A+E Networks, Audible, Bloomberg LP, ESPN, Hearst Corporation, MLB Advanced Media, NBCUniversal, News Corp, Publicis Groupe, Charter Spectrum, Verizon, Viacom, Vonage and The Weather Company. Associated Press, Rogers Communications, Singtel, and Tenfore Holdings are affiliate members. Member companies participate in roundtable events on technology issues; connect with one another and with faculty, students, and other university resources; and direct seed research projects on areas of interest to them.
